After this course, you will become a game designer for mobile phone game platforms. The course comprises of 10 basic classes and 10 advanced classes.

Course learning outcomes (CLO) of game design course:

Ability to scope and plan game projects
Ability to design online mobile games
Ability to find and access creative common licensed game assets in game design market
Ability to create new game assets
Ability to edit and use media editing tools for online mobile games

Subject learning outcomes of foundation game design:

Understand Design Theme
Acquire Design thinking skills
Apply Design thinking in Game Design
Ability to find creative common license game assets on game design markets.
Ability to select appropriate game assets for mobile phone games.
Edit image assets
Edit animation assets: sprites
Edit audio assets to generate MP3 and OGG industry standard audio files for mobile phone games

Each session is a two-hour class. In the first session, we will create a new mobile phone game and share our own games with friends online.

Preparation (Instructor please check this before class):

Internet access with backup dongles. Check quota balance
Power points
Students bringing laptops?
Print outs for students. Print this instruction out for each student.
Put all ready made media files and flash drive and give to students.
